Abraham Fabella is an award-winning pianist, conductor and composer based in Southern California. An alumnus of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Abe is the Music Director of Genesis Opera Theatre based in Escondido. With Genesis Opera Theatre, he has led performances of Goyescas, The Impressario and Amahl and the Night Visitors. In April 2024 he conducted Sal Ponti's musical, Magdalene with Genesis Opera Theatre.
In the city of Riverside, Abe is the Organist and Choirmaster at All Saints' Episcopal Church, where he has led the music program for sixteen years. The choir at All Saints has performed and premiered his compositions including "Ubi Caritas," "Our Father," and "Prayer of St. Francis." Most recently, he led the choir in a service of Nine Advent Lessons and Carols.
Abe is also the accompanist of Raincross Master Chorale in Riverside. During the ensemble's Fall concert, he performed Ravel's solo piano piece, Jeux d'eau and accompanied the chorale at the organ in music by Vivaldi, Bach and others. In addition, he is the Artistic Director of Riverside Lyric Opera where he has played for productions of Amahl and the Night Visitors, Suor Angelica and H.M.S. Pinafore.
Besides his work in Riverside, Abe is the full-time Accompanist at Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita. He accompanies five choirs during the day and plays for musical theater classes after school.
Other notable credits include the concert premiere of a new opera, The Last Confession of Don Juan Zumárraga by Dana Howell, Donald Swann's The Road Goes Ever On for Hobbit Day and GianCarlo Menotti's opera The Old Maid and the Thief with Cinballera Entertainment, and Nutcracker: The Mousical at Old Town Temecula Community Theater. He has performed with many local opera companies including Celestial Opera Company, Repertory Opera Company, and Los Angeles Metropolitan Opera.
